Description
This Garlic snail has a small ( Size 6mm) pale brown or greenish, glossy, flattened shell it HAS an umbilicus. The body of the snail is a dark bluish grey. One of the key features is distinctive feature is a strong smell of garlic when the snail is disturbed. It is common in woodland and gardens . There are a many similar small brownish glossy snails but tthe Garlic Snail is the main one with a strong garlic so observation with the nose is important
