Description
Dock Bugs can be relatively large with variable ground colour but in the main it presents as a mottled reddish-brown squashbug . The abdomen is broad and oval A key identification feature is the two small projections between the antennae.

Life Cycle Adu;ts mate and lay eggs in Spring with ne generation or Brood in a year The developed Nymphs may be found as new Adults in August . The principle host plant for nymphs is Dock (Rumex) and other Polygonaceae
Habitat Various diverse dry and damp habitats.It is less common further North
