Length 9.5-10.5 mm
Description This squashbug has broad and distinctly diamond-shaped abdomen or Rhombus shape. Nymphs are also recognisable with pointed abdominal tergites, each possessing a strong spine.
Life Cycle Adults emerge mate pring; with nymphs found June-August thry eed on sandworts, spurreys and plants in the Caryophyllacea family
Habitat Lcal species previously in the main confined to coastal areas (Suffolk and south Wales,) but is now increasing in its inland distribution in a variety of dry grassland habitats.
