The widest part of this segment is more than twice as broad as the narrowest part. Adult Head and pronotum vary in colour from blackish to rusty brown The larvae are purple-brown in colourLife Cycle
This Mirid is sociated with various Grass Species (Gramineae) feeding more toward the ground on stem sections rather than on grain or flower spikes unlike many other capsids
