Identification
For L. rugicollis the pronotum is strongly wrinkled the entire upper surface lacks obvious hairs. The side margins are often yellow.The pronotum is relatively straight-sided
A key factor differentiating other similar green mirids is the presence of very fine and inconspicuous pale brown tibial spines and the break in the keel between the eyes when viewed at high magnification.( see image below )
Similars cf : O. marginalis, Lygocoris pabulinis, Apolygus sp
Habitat This is predominately a Willow Species found on sallows and other Salix species, it resembles may be easily confused with Orthotylus marginalis.
