Adults seen September-October, may overwinter. Mainly a late season species

Description

Usually wioth quite pronounced red markings but can be variable, with newly emerged adults tending to be green This Mrid is relatively large with the antennae shorter than the body The terminal banding of the antennae also assist as a ponter to this species

   

Life Cycle

 

Habitat

Found on the lower ground layer in particular situated on the lower branches of hazel, alder and birch.
