Length 5-6 mm

Description A small yellowish-brown shieldbug with notable pale spots at the basal angles of the scutellum; ( Top Side of sheild) confusion with other Shieldbugs is unlikely.

Life Cycle One generation per year; new adults may be found from August/September onwards. Larval food plants are unclear. Literature indicates associations with slender St John's Wort Hypericum pulchrum but are likely to be spurious.

Habitat / Distribution Scarce found in damp heathland and acid grassland in the New Forest area of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
