Description

The male is metallic emerald green with powdery blue patches at each end of the abdomen. The female is also metallic emerald but without the blue patches. Immature females are sometimes pinkish or beige

The male is metallic emerald green with powdery blue patches at each end of the abdomen. The female is also metallic emerald but without the blue patches. The Emerald Damselfly is not easily observed as it spends much of its time hiding in the vegetation near marshy areas.
