Habitat

Woods Farms and Parkland except in N Scotland

Identification

It has a small head with a narrow muzzle which is naked at the tip and overhangs the lower jaw slightly. The face is very furry often obscuring the eyes . There is also a moustache and above the lip on either side a prominant gland .The large oval ear is notched on the outer margin above the middle and the long slender tragus i more than half the length of the ear ending in a very slender point . This bat has a distintive white underside , Another distinguishing feature is its membraneous tail with fringed hairs which often point downward
