Description The easily recognised zigzag lines and bands of dark and pale colour make this species easy to identify.

Life Cycle

Habitat Local species, mainly in the southern half of Britain, among ash (Fraxinus), the foodplant. Larvae burrow into ash tree , bark and can eventually kill the tree if present in numbers.
