Wingspan 9-10 mm
Description A small attractive Tortricid, mainly dark except for 4 long white strigulae on the dorsum and 9 short ones on leading forewing edge. It has also a leaden metallic patch, known as ocellus towards the rear of the wing.
Flight period Day Fliers in short grassy habitats. on the wing in May and June and again in August.
The larvae feed on clover (Trifolium spp.), either in the stems or in spun leaves.
