Wingspan c.14-20 mm.
Flight Period Frequenting woodland and gardens etc, the flight period is dusk onwards during July and August.
Description A small but rather attractive moth, this species occurs most commonly in the south of England, becoming gradually lrss common further north into Scotland.
Foodplant: The larvae feed on field maple (Acer campestris) or, more commonly in the north, alder (Alnus glutinosa).
