Family: Birthwort (Aristolochiacea)

Stem erect or slightly twining, Glabrous. Leaves alternate the nlades twice as long as the petioles , round , ovoid wuth heart -sahped base . Flowers in leaf axils infalted and globular at the base , these become lonfg straight tube terminating in a tongue shaped lobe . Interestingly the tube is covered with inward pointing hairs seving as a fly trap Flowering Hune - September . Height 20 - 80 cm.
