Aromatic perennial of roadside verges and wasteground. Widespread and common throughout. Stems reddish. Pinnate leaves dark green above but silvery-downy below. Small, reddish flower heads are borne in branched spikes. Waste places side of roads. July to September. Height up to 1.25m
