Delicate, spineless perennial of damp meadows and woodland rides. Locally common only in SW Britain. Leaves vary from undivided to deeply lobed but edges always saw-toothed. Open clusters of flower heads, 15to 20 mm long, appear July to October. Height up to 75cm
