Family: Iridaceae ( Iris family )

Description

Familiar, robust perennial of pond margins, marshes and river banks. Widespread and common throughout. Grey-green leaves are sword-shaped and often wrinkled. Clusters of 2 to3 yellow flowers, each up to 10cm across, appear May to August. Height up to 1m
